Indigo Mental was created to help children master mental arithmetic.
Idea
In contrast to classic arithmetic, children can develop their imagination and use an abacus to do arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). This approach allows children to calculate in seconds without a calculator.
Design & Development
- Co-developed core training mechanics with a cognitive scientist
- Frontend built in Vue.js, backend in Python, database in PostgreSQL
- Custom game engine with scoring logic and difficulty scaling
- Analytics dashboard for user progress, motivation loops, and reward triggers
